Die Ballade von Mittwoch auf Donnerstag
The ballad from Wednesday to Thursday
Narrative Feature Film
World Premiere at Munich Filmfest 2026 / "Neues Deutsches Kino” Competition
Over the course of one night, the paths of a diverse group of people cross in Cologne’s pubs, bars, and hookah
lounges. As they gather, the topics that truly matter to Germany come up: patriarchy, the Middle East conflict,
rising rents, and the question of whether Jesus would still buy a round today. Political stances harden under
the influence of alcohol, and old wounds are reopened.
